Introducing EspooAmbassadors

Year 2009 was the year when Espoo started Ambassador program and when emeritus professor of geophysics in Helsinki School of Technology (TKK), Markku Peltoniemi, was nominated as Espoo´s Honour Ambassador.

Riitta Smeds, a professor of Aalto Univeristy and a leader of SimLab, has been nominated as the EspooAmbassador 2010. Smeds´s teaching field is service and business operation processes in digital economy.

25th August 2011 Espoo gained new Ambassador when Olli Simula, professor of Computer Science and Head of the Department of Information and Computer Science in Aalto University, School of Science, was chosen for this honoured position as EspooAmbassador 2011.
