Aalto University and the School of Science and Technology (former TKK)
Helsinki School of Economics, University of Art and Design Helsinki and Helsinki University of Technology (TKK) merged into a foundation-based university, Aalto University in 2009. Aalto University is a new multidisciplinary university, where science and art meet technology and business. 
The Aalto University School of Science and Technology is divided into four new schools of technology starting from 1st of January 2011. The leading Finnish university of its kind provides education and carries out research in most areas of technology and architecture. It is located in Otaniemi, Espoo, the heart of Finnish science and technology. With its about 15 000 students, including 1,300 foreign students from 90 different countries the School of Science and Technology is the biggest of all Aalto Universities. It is also one of the largest scientific conference organizers in Espoo.

Excellent connections
Espoo's location on the coastal Finland, next to the capital Helsinki, offers good traffic connections. It is easy to reach, just a half an hour from the Helsinki international airport and harbours. Getting around Espoo and capital area of Helsinki is easy and affortable with extensive public transportation network. During year 2015 Espoo will have its own metro too.

- visit to Exhibition Centre WeeGee and EMMA Espoo Museum of Modern Art
