The scenic Kaitlampi pond, valleys and rocky hills surround Kattila and offer exceptional possibilities for outdoor activities and relaxation. Meeting facilities

Kattila Cottage is a traditional Finnish country cottage with its history reaching over 100 years to the past. Cottage offers a cosy atmosphere for groups up to the size of 30 persons. Earth red painted old buildings surround the cottage courtyard is reflecting the Finnish historic countryside style. There are an open fireplace, log walls and plank floors inside the cottage.

Forest Hotel & Restaurant Metsätähti on a hilltop with views over a valley and a forest pond where you can find the magnificent Kattila main building dating back to 1930’s and functionalism. The main hall facilitates events for up to 50 persons and the seven bedrooms accommodate 16 persons. The ground floor offers bathing possibilities in a semicircle shaped sauna room. The Restaurant Metsätähti is open on reservation for groups.

Restaurant

The forest Restaurant Metsätähti operates in the Kattila main building in Nuuksio on reservation basis. The cooks are there to charm you with traditional Finnish delicacies that highlight your special experience in the Finnish nature. Pure Finnish ingredients are used in a tasty and visual way in all the cooking. Good examples are mushroom soups prepared using Nuuksio mushrooms, flamed and smoked fresh water fishes, flamed game tender loin and juicy berry pies.

Catering services are offered in all Kattila and Valklampi premises. The meals can also be prepared based on a special theme, for example autumn mushrooms and game, Christmas specialities, spring asparagus feast, summer berries and vegetables. The customers can bring their own alcohol drinks to our premises.

Accommodation

For groups that wish to stay in the heart of Nuuksio! Forest Hotel & Restaurant Metsätähti The main hall facilitates events for up to 50 persons and the seven bedrooms accommodate 16 persons. Valklampi Lake Valklampi is a clean and scenic forest lake. The Valklampi House is a real hideaway in solitude by its own natural pond. The house was built in 1957 and was best known as a base for former President Urho Kekkonen's elk hunting trips. The main hall of the house can facilitate events for up to 45 persons. The 4 bedrooms offer accommodation for 15. The house consists of the main hall, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Sauna

Kattila smoke and electric saunas. Right by the lake Kaitlampi you can enjoy the soft heat of the original Finnish smoke sauna or relax in the spacious electric sauna. Dip in the clean waters of Kaitlampi lake and let your mind unbend while watching the untouched nature. Around 25 persons can bathe in the saunas at the same time, the fire room in the sauna building offers room for another 25 persons. The extensive pier and terrace areas are in your use.
