Finnish Nature Centre Haltia

The ecologically designed Finnish Nature Centre Haltia is a wooden Exhibition and Event Centre just 40 min from the Helsinki city centre as well as from the airport. Located in the vicinity of Nuuksio National Park, Haltia binds together outdoor activities and adventures, wellbeing from the forest and enthralling exhibitions with modern, inspiring meeting rooms. Haltia provides information on the services of Parks & Wildlife Finland and is a good starting point for any excursion in Finland.

Haltia’s restaurant and the auditorium offer each 200 seats and up to 500 persons’ events can be organized as private functions in the building. From the restaurant terrace opens a breathtaking view to the lakeside scenery.

Metsähallitus is a state-owned enterprise which provides services related to natural reserves, and administers more than 12 million hectares of state-owned land and water areas. The public administration services of Metsähallitus are provided by Parks & Wildlife Finland. They include nature conservation, the provision of free facilities for outdoor recreation, and game and fisheries services on state-owned land. Parks & Wildlife Finland also manage all the 39 National Parks in Finland, 19 strict nature reserves, 12 wilderness areas, and 24 local nature centres.
