One of the most beautiful recreational islands in Espoo.
Gåsgrund is one of the Espoo´s recreational islands and popular among campers. Camping in tents is allowed and the scheduled archipelago boats take you to the island if you don´t have your own boat or kayak. Mooring buoys and rings are availbe for those who travel with own boats. The North coast is a good place to enter with kayak.
The terrain varies from smooth rock-beaches to bushy meadows and dry coniferous forest. The north coast has kid friendly sandy beaches, and there are outdoor kitchens for preparing and eating picnic food
The city of Espoo takes care of firewood and there are couple of cooking shelters and wc on the island. The views are awesome and this island is absolutely worth to visit either a day trip or why not to stay over night here.
