Take a step back from your busy everyday life and reconnect with nature by the enchanting fjord-like Pitkäjärvi lake – just 30 minutes from bustling Helsinki.

In addition to lodging, we provide the perfect outdoor experiences to make your stay both inspiring and invigorating. Everything we do is built on nature conservation, sustainable development, and local sourcing. In Finnish mythology, the Earth Guardian is an elf – haltia – that protects all life. Nestup

The most important aspect of our rooms is rest. We want you to be fully recharged so you’ll get the most out of what you come to us for – a carefully curated natural experience.

Out in the wilderness by day and in the sauna or maybe by a campfire in the evening – what you’ll want from your room is rest and good sleep, without too many distractions. Like a bird’s nest.

Every successful nature holiday starts with a good night’s sleep. Our rooms are designed to provide you with everything you need to wake up refreshed and ready for the great outdoors.

Our compact rooms are bird nests in both name and design. They come with everything you need, and nothing else. The classy, minimalist interiors combine Finnish design and furniture concepts developed together with the recycling company Reuse Center.

We only use ecological Finnish materials. Nest up in our high-quality, low-carbon-footprint beds while Nuuksio's guardian elves keep watch – sweet dreams!

Digital detox? Up to you. We feel that TV has no place here, but the Forest Lounge provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in sharing experiences of the day and plan your next excursions and activities with a refreshing soft drink, quality wine or local craft beer.

Our accommodation prices include fresh locally sourced breakfast, sauna, and Wi-Fi.

• 16 x  Lodge Twin -rooms (16m2): 2 beds  (80 x 200 cm), 1–2 people, balconet / small balcony
• 4 x  Lodge Queen -rooms (15m2): 1 bed (140 x 200 cm), 1–2 people, small balcony
• 5 x Luxury Lodge glambings (18m2): air conditioning, heating, a non-water freezing toilet, water for washing hands and teeth, a small fridge, an electric kettle and a terrace.

Discover the true nature of your business and step into the heart of the Nuuksio lake highlands where the resident woodland spirits watch over you.  NOOX, the first proven name for the Nuuksio region, lives on in the name of our hotel’s NOOX meeting room.

Sauna

Our resident sauna elf invites all hotel guests to enjoy the heat early in the morning and privately bookable again after a day exploring nature.

Forest Lounge & Bar

Forest Lounge is a space replete with wilderness elegance. Forest Lounge provides an opportunity to immerse yourself over a glass of quality wine or local craft beer while sharing your experiences of the day or planning the next days’ adventures. Snacks are also available. Forest Lounge & Bar is also a shared living room and a place to kick back and chill.

Sustainable Travel

Tourism has a huge impact on nature, climate, culture and economy – both globally & locally. It’s often exploitative and does more harm than good, but we can start changing this now.

At Haltia Lake Lodge we take our part very seriously. All of our operations run on 100% wind energy, utilise little to no plastic and benefit a wide range of local operators. We recycle everything, build and renovate using circular economy and aim to be carbon neutral in 2023.
