Located right next to Keilaniemi and Hanasaari, Espoo’s Karhusaari is a charming recreational area and a popular place to spend time in the summer. Espoo’s Karhusaari is a diverse recreational area for people of all ages where you can enjoy clean nature, the sea and the Waterfront Walkway.

Along the Waterfront Walkway, there is a small beach with a gorgeous view of the sea. Follow the path and you will find yourself either in the forest or in the yard of the historically valuable Sinebrychoff Villa that includes old outbuildings and a garden. The villa can also be rented for private events and meetings.

Karhusaari is conveniently located along the Waterfront Walkway and Länsiväylä and is therefore easy to reach by public transport, bicycle or car or on foot. You can also find a variety of services in and around Karhusaari, including the Hanaholmen Cultural Centre and the Laguuni Keilis water sports centre.

Karhusaari is also used as a venue for various types of events all year round. Perhaps you have taken a guided tour of the villa, visited an art exhibition by Karhusaari artists or attended Karhusaari Day.

KARHUSAARI VILLA IS LOCATED BY THE SEA AND CLOSE TO LÄNSIVÄYLÄ.

Built in the late 1800s, the Karhusaari Villa (also known as Sinebrychoff Villa) is conveniently located by the sea in Karhusaari, between Hanasaari and Keilaniemi. The main building is available for private events and meetings. The ground floor features a small kitchen and a meeting room for about 20 people. The first floor includes a veranda, a ballroom, a blue room, a salon, a dining hall and a tearoom, and there are seats and tables for about 100 people.

The upstairs rooms have been rented out to artists as studio spaces. There is a pier for boats near the villa as well as old outbuildings. At the Westend side of the area, there is a beach with pull-up bars, dip bars as well as portable toilets in the summertime.

If you are interested in renting a space in the villa, you can call the number below or visit the premises on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 13:00 and 16:00. At other times, you can send your request by email to karhusaari.taidekeskus@espoo.fi.
