Nuuksio Hawk Nest

Natura Viva’s Nuuksio Hawk Nest recreational center is the perfect starting destination for a great day out in the Nuuksio national park. Hawk Nest is open in June–August every day and during other seasons on special occasions. The self-service snowshoe rental is open all winter long, depending on the snow conditions in Nuuksio.

Rent a canoe, SUP-board, rowing boat or fatbike

Rent outdoor equipment from Nuuksio Hawk Nest! Hawk Lake is the perfect location for canoeing, rowing and stand up paddling. It is a small sheltered lake surrounded by beautiful nature. You can also explore the Nuuksio national park by Fatbike. Fatbikes are also available by self-service rental until the end of September.

In addition Natura Viva has self-service Fatbike rental in Hotel Korpilampi where you can get on a Fatbike and explore the highlands of Luukki natural park all year round.

Join a guided tour in the National Park 

Get more out of your visit to Nuuksio National Park by joining a guided tour. Snowshoeing and hiking tours are available during the winter season and canoeing and hiking tours during the summer season. You also have a great chance to try out guided Stand Up Paddling in the middle of the Nuuksio National Park.

Join us for a cup of warm coffee at Cafe Silva

Cafe Silva operates at Nuuksio Hawk Nest. Enjoy a cup of coffee, warm tea, a tasty sweet roll or a delicious sandwich. Enjoy the tasty snacks and beverages by the lake or take them with you on your nature adventure. We also sell soft drinks, ice cream and sweet treats.

Company outings in Nuuksio National Park

Nuuksio National Park and Hawk Lake is the perfect setting for a company outing or corporate group. There is a lot to do in the national park and there are great options for small and bigger groups alike. Try out canoeing, SUP-paddling or fatbiking, or join a relaxed nature tour on the beautiful paths of the national park. We can combine the different activities for bigger groups and longer programs. Enjoy a traditional Finnish sauna after your outdoor activity or choose one of our campfire menus to explore the real taste of Finnish cuisine, prepared with local ingredients.

Hawk Nest sauna

There is nothing better than a wood-heated sauna and a refreshing dip in the lake after your outdoor activity. Rent the Hawk Nest Sauna for your group. You can rent the sauna for 2 hours or 5 hours. 6 people fit in the hotroom at a time and there is space for 12 people in the common room. The common room is equipped with equipment for meetings and a fireplace. Tasty group dinner menus are also available.

Genuine outdoor cabins, Oravankolo and Tikankolo

Natura Viva offers two authentic forest cabins inside the Nuuksio National Park for rent. Both Oravankolo and Tikankolo have space for 6 people staying overnight and both have a sauna. The cabins are situated by a lake in the Nuuksio National Park. The cabins are very popular, so book your night well in advance.

The Season Pass for Nature enables versatile outdoor activities in all Natura Viva’s destinations and also in several self-service depots. With this season pass you will have unlimited access to our outdoor equipment: Kayaks, SUP-boards, fatbikes, canoes and rowing boats. With our twin kayaks, rowing boats and canoes you can also take your children to enjoy nature!
