Original Sokos Hotel Tapiola Garden

Tapiola Garden is a living room for the residents of Tapiola; a place with everything you would expect from a fine hotel. You can have dinner at restaurant Grill It!, serving food made of first-class ingredients cooked on a charcoal barbecue. The saunas are heated on weekday evenings and in the morning and in the evening at weekends. A quick swim in the sauna section's swimming pool  is a great way to get the heart pumping. In addition to pedalling on the exercise bikes at the gym, you can go for a tour around our famous garden city with one of the bicycles reserved for our guests.

The Tapiola area where the hotel is located is like small town with all the services of an urban centre. Architect Aarne Ervi has had the most visible impact on the look of Tapiola, established in the 1950s. His work includes the buildings surrounding the Tapiola Keskusallas, such as the Central Tower, Kino Tapiola, the Tapiola public swimming pool and this hotel. After its establishment, the modern garden city made Finnish urban planning world-famous. Espoo's new metro line is not yet quite finished, but even now you can get from Tapiola to Helsinki and the business centres in Espoo quickly and easily.

Tapiola is also a cultural district with numerous events. It is only a small walk from the hotel to the Espoo Cultural Centre, City Theatre and WeeGee Exhibition Centre. You can arrange your own event at Tapiola Garden: our comfortable meeting rooms offer an excellent setting for family celebrations.

Accommodation

Original Sokos Hotel Tapiola Garden’s rooms feature modern interior décor, wooden floors and a laptop-size safe. Most have a balcony, and some include tea/coffee facilities. Hotel has  a total of 154 rooms.

Meetings and Events

The hotel has three meeting rooms for 12-28 guests. In addition, the hotel features a sauna lounge with a capacity of up to 12. All meeting areas are fitted with the latest audio visual equipment. Hotel guests can park in the warm underground parking hall which is located in front of the hotel.

Banquet facilities

Adjacent to the hotel restaurant, the Galleria private dining room offers the ideal setting for a variety of events, occasions and celebrations. The rooms accommodates up to 45 guests for a sit-down meal

In May 2018 Original Sokos Hotel Tapiola Garden became the first hotel in the Helsinki metropolitan area to receive Sauna from Finland -quality certificate. Therefore, you can count on having a genuine Finnish sauna experience in Tapiola Garden.   

Kino Tapiola

Kino Tapiola is a cultural-historically valuable cinema designed by Aarne Ervi, which opened in 1955. In conjunction with the renovation in spring 2010, it was equipped with the very latest conference technology. The cinema´s hall is an optimum venue for meetings of 50-120 people. Kino Tapiola is located just a short walk from the hotel.
