FACILITIES

Our cozy log villas Karhunpesä (Bear’s Nest) and Safaritalo (Safari house) are located in the middle of Nuuksio National park in the peace of wilderness. About 30 km/30 min from Helsinki city center. Villa Kotkankallio, which is our largest villa, is located in the marine environment of Porkkala, about 45 km/45 min from Helsinki city center.

THE SAFARI HOUSE

The Safarihouse log villa is located at a peaceful setting surrounded by the wilderness of Nuuksio National Park. A large courtyard with terraces make it possible for large scale of activities and preparing and serving food for even bigger groups. There is also a charming forest pond with a possibility to take a swim from a dock after sauna. The main hall has a space for meetings for up to 40 people, room for an evening function for 50 people and there is also a smaller bar room for some 10 people for example for smaller group work. Swing Hill ski center / Nuuksio Bikepark are located next to the Safarihouse.

Meeting menus, summer grill BBQ dinners with salad buffet, campfire flamed salmon, smoked fish of the season or After Ski fondue dinner by the fireplace are all well suited to the wilderness atmosphere of the Safari House. Food is prepared at our own kitchen on-site from fresh seasonal ingredients. Meals can also be delivered from the Safari House kitchen to the Karhunpesä log cottage, teepee and anywhere where the outdoor activity takes place. Safari House and sauna facilities have licensing rights. The Safari House serves well as a base for various activities like yard games for winter or summer, cross golf, archery, axe throwing, alpine curling and hiking with trails departing straight from courtyard to the beautiful landscape of the National Park.

From the shore of the Safari House one can go rowing, canoeing and kayaking or take a cruise on lake Pitkäjärvi on Viking Boat Helga.

THE BEAR´S NEST

An intriguing log cabin with cozy atmosphere is located on a cliff top overlooking the magnificent scenery of Nuuksio National Park. The landscape has a close resemblance to Lapland.

Come and enjoy a casual gathering with a group of friends, colleagues or family in an idea-rich setting. The spacious living room has long tables for 20 people, a sofa group and a large natural stone fireplace, a kitchenette, a traditional wood-heated sauna and a 7-person outdoor jacuzzi with a natural stone terrace, three two person’s bedrooms and a loft in the attic for appr. 10 people. During the summer, the outdoor terrace provides additional space for larger groups and barbecued food from our summer kitchen offers the summer's ambiance at its finest. There is also a firepit on the yard for a campfire. Neighboring the National Park, the location is conveniently accessible directly to the wilderness and marked trails around. We organize a wide range of different guided activities throughout the year.

Villa Kotkankallio, built from log and natural stone, is located in the marine environment of Porkkalanniemi on its own 1,2 ha fenced plot. Functional and spacious premises are perfect for a several days’ Off-Site meeting in a peaceful setting surrounded by the stunning coastal nature. The facilities are on three and a half floors. Upstairs, there is spacious accommodation at both ends of the house that can also be used for workshops. The tower room is on the top floor. 

Downstairs there is a cozy sauna department with two saunas and dressing rooms, a swimming pool, jacuzzis and a cozy cooling area with access outdoors. The rocky yard area has a covered grill, a kitchenette and a firepit for barbecueing. Meals are served from Kotkankallio's on-site kitchen from fresh seasonal ingredients. The premises are fully licensed, so own drinks are not allowed.

UNIQUE ACCOMMODATION IN A IGLUHUT

Spend night in a unique Igluhut at the Reindeer Park, watch and feed reindeer directly from the hut's window. Handcrafted Iglu cabin is made from natural materials. The design is unique combining the centuries-old shingle technology with modern knowledge and craftwork. Exterior is covered with spruce shingles, aspen has been used in the interior, total over 2500 units.

Accommodation for a couple in double bed including linen, ecotoilet, limited washing facilities, shower room outside in summer time, electric heating, mini fridge, electric kettle, coffee/tea/water and a bucketful of lichen for feeding reindeer. CAMPING CABINS

A simple 4-person cabin for the hikers in Nuuksio can be booked during the summer season. A great alternative for tent stays. The cottage is about 12m2 and has electric heating and two bunk beds. Location on the plot of Safaritalo, 700 m from the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia. Nature trails goes just around the corner.

ACTIVITY PROGRAMS

Let us lead you to unforgettable nature experiences of the Nuuksio National Park and the amazing archipelago of Porkkala. The activities are led by uncompromising and professional wilderness guides. Safety and rescue plans are well attended to and the participants to the programs are clearly advised about the safety features in advance. Participating to the activities intoxicated is non-acceptable for security reasons. Please be prepared with outdoor and clothing gear suited for the weather and shoes suitable for the variable terrain. We rent outdoor gear upon your requirements. NUUKSIO REINDEER PARK AND WHITE TEEPEE RESTAURANT 

Experience a touch of northern magic in Finland's southernmost reindeer park in Nuuksio where you can feed our adorable reindeer. Enjoy campfire coffee or three course dinner over an open fire in the atmospheric Lappish Teepee. Dining in the teepee can be combined with a reservation of our log cottage.
