Solvalla Sports Institute

Solvalla Sports Institute stands on the shores of lake Pitkäjärvi next to Nuuksio National Park. Nearby there is a 2,6-kilometre trail for hikers, and also two trails one of which is 3,6 kilometres and the other 2,2 kilometres long. These two are used as skiing trails during winter. Solvalla Sports Institute offers a wide range of sport activities, from aerobics to trekking. In the summer there is a possibility to hire canoes and rowing boats. There are also meeting facilities, accommodation and two lakeside saunas.

Swing Hill, a downhill skiing centre, and the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia are located nearby the institute.

FACILITIES AND SERVICES

At Solvalla Sports Institute it is possible to organize meetings and activity days. Our facilities include meeting rooms for 20-100 persons. Smaller meetings can be held in Pikku-Solvalla, a lakeside cottage. Additionally, we have four saunas, which can be booked privately or as a part of a conference package. In addition to meeting rooms and saunas, we organize guided excursions in Nuuksio, a variety of sport activities, as well as wellbeing services for individuals and companies. There are also sports equipment and facilities for rent.

ACCOMMODATION

We offer accommodation for about 132 persons.

• Pikku Solvalla: 12 persons
• Ullakko: 30 persons (15 x 2 pers.)
• Kurssila: 36 persons (18 x 2 pers.)
• Oppilaskoti: 24 persons (12 x 2 pers.)
• Luhta 22 persons (4 x 3 and 2 x 5 pers.)

Most rooms have a toilet and shower. Bed linen and towels are provided in all rooms. A thorough cleaning of the rooms are done after every stay. When your stay is longer there is cleaning done during your stay. 

SAUNA

Solvalla Sports Institute have four saunas of various sizes. Our two lakeside saunas, can hold 6 persons respective 15 persons. By the lakeside saunas there is a small beach where you can cool down in between your sauna sessions. Additionally, there are two Saunas in the main building.
