Tourism impacts and development

Visit Espoo compiles information and research on the impacts of tourism in Espoo on this page. You will also find up-to-date national research and statistical data produced by Visit Finland. Tourism development and impacts are monitored using a range of indicators, and the results are compared with those of other tourism destinations.

Espoo's tourism revenue and employment surveys 2021-2025

Visitory's Tourism Revenue and Employment Study examines the direct and indirect economic impacts of tourism, measured in euros, as well as its employment impacts, measured in jobs, across different municipalities and regions. The study provides nationally comparable data and is based on extensive statistical datasets, accommodation data and visitor surveys.

In 2025, Finland hosted 633 international congresses, attracting more than 123,000 delegates. Espoo was the country’s third-most-popular congress city, hosting 75 congresses during the year.
