Road Cycling
Espoo's Countryside Café & Manor Route Loop along Lake Bodom (18 km)
Set off on a scenic road cycling adventure around Lake Bodom, a roughly 18 km route that blends tranquil lakeside views, historic manor houses, and inviting cafés along the way. Starting at the beloved Bemböle Coffee House, a favorite meeting spot for local cyclists, you’ll follow a mix of smooth bike paths and charming country roads, with a few narrow, winding sections adding a touch of excitement. Along the route, discover the characterful Oittaa, Backby, and Bodom manor houses, each offering unique experiences from dining to relaxation, as well as the cozy Café Pirttimäki nestled in nature. A gentle detour through Marketta Park introduces a hint of gravel and lush, almost exotic gardens, perfect for a peaceful pause before the journey continues past the stately Träskanda Manor and its impressive parkland.
Bikepacking
The Western Uusimaa Loop Tour (293 km)
The Western Uusimaa tour is a cycling route that starts from Helsinki. Along the route, you can find the Nuuksio National Park, ridge and lakeside trails in Lohja, Fiskars village, Billnäs, and Mustio ironworks and Mustio Manor, Inkoo harbor, beaches in Kopparnäs, Siuntio Castle, Meiko Nature Reserve (Kirkkonummi), Hvitträsk National Museum (Kirkkonummi), and the coastal trails of Espoo and Helsinki. The route combines the region's most beautiful trails and nature sites with the seascapes of the southern coast. The route is 293 km long, and the duration is 4-5 days. The route is suitable for both campers and those preferring guesthouse accommodation.
The Nuuksio National Park overnight backpacking trip (90 km)
The Nuuksio National Park overnight trip is a cycling route that starts in the center of Helsinki. The route runs through Helsinki Central Park to Pitkäskoski Nature Area on the Vantaanjoki River and from there to the Nuuksio Lake Uplands. The return to the starting point takes place by continuing cycling through Nuuksio National Park to Veikkola Area and from there to Kirkkonummi's train station. The commuter train connection from Kirkkonummi to Helsinki takes less than an hour, when using the local train connection, the length of the route will be 90 km. Alternatively, you can also return to Helsinki following the coastal routes of the Western Uusimaa Loop tour, which means that the entire trip will be 146 km long. The duration of the route is 1-2 days. The route is suitable for both campers and those who use the accommodation services of Nuuksio National Park.
