What is it all about?

Every year on 5th February, Finland celebrates its national poet and author of Finland's national anthem - J.L. Runeberg, by eating famous Runeberg cakes (Runebergin torttu in Finnish). This raspberry jam-toped muffin-like cake was invented by his wife, Fredrika Runeberg, and later named after him.

If you are visiting Espoo during early February, you can taste this famous pastry in most of the local Cafés - here are our 7 Espoo Café tips!
