When?

18.-27.8.2023

What is it all about?

The festival's opening film will be Aki Kaurismäki's new movie, Kuolleet lehdet - a gentle tragicomedy starring Jussi Vatanen and Alma Pöysti about the love of a Finnish sand blower and a shop assistant. The film garnered a lot of international attention and won the Prix du Jury at the Cannes Film Festival.

The night screening from last year also continues, and fans of Finnish melodic metal music should head to Kino Tapiola for the Bodom Blue Moon night screening on August 26-27 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Children of Bodom's album "Hate Crew Deathroll."
