Elk Safari

You probably know that Elk/Moose (Alces alces) is the largest species in the deer family. Even so, you will be surprised by its size when you see one! Join our Elk watching tour to witness this. With us you have excellent chances to encounter an Elk. We will also explain about Elks' behavior, ecology and about Finns' relationship with the Elks.

We take you to known Elk sites less than 50 km from Helsinki. During the Elk watching tour you are likely to observe also White-tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus), Roedeer (Capreolus capreolus) and Fallow Deer (Dama dama). To enhance your chances of spotting Elks and other deer species we provide binoculars. Moreover, a telescope is available for a closer look at Elks and our thermal camera may reveal even more wildlife around us!

It is rare, but we have managed to spot even a European Lynx (Lynx lynx) during our Elk watching tour!
