Birdwatching in Finland

Share

Finnish taiga forests, lakes and mires host an avifauna that you may not easily find elsewhere! Many foreign birders are keen to see our woodpeckers, northern waders and some north-eastern passerines.

Even during your stop-over in Helsinki or a free weekend between your busy meeting week may allow a trip that you have been dreaming of!

You may have specific bird species in your mind that you would wish to see. Please consult us as our birdwatching trips in Finland are tailor-made for you.

For example, if your visit to Finland takes place in spring, we can take you to the seaside to watch sea ducks in their best plumage such as Common Eider (Somateria mollissima), Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula), Merganser (Mergus merganser) and Smew (Mergellus albellus).

If again, you would like to see a Hazel Grouse (Tetrastes bonasia) we will show you the potential taiga forests.
