Winter ski touring course

Winter ski touring can be as safe and convenient as summer hike. In our course we go through gears, clothing, cooking and other crucial but practical things you should know before your first solo winter camping or ski tour. Courses are held at Nuuksio National Park and Liesjärvi National Park.

Start/End:
- Nuuksio NP: Haukkalampi parking lot (Haukkalammentie 32, Espoo)
- Liesjärvi NP: Sikomäki parking lot (Kanteluksentie 530, Liesjärvi)

Experience and fitness level: No prior experience in camping or hiking is needed. However, You must be able to walk 3km in forest outside the trails and carry 15kg backpack with you.

Required gears (not included in the course): Backpack, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, warm clothes (as we spend the whole time outdoors), stove, plate, mug, spoon, meals (ready hiking meals recommended), head lamp. We have some gears available for rent - please ask!
