Karhunpesä, a cosy log cottage in Nuuksio

The atmospheric Karhunpesä is located in its own natural setting on a cliff top, with stunning views over the Nuuksio National Park. The marked forest trails of the national park can be accessed directly from the yard. Distance from the centre of Helsinki about 35 km, from the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia 1 km.

Karhunpesä log cottage can be rented on your own, meals can be arranged either on your own or ordered through us, especially on weekdays. Own drinks are also allowed.

Two long tables can seat 20 people and accommodation is available for max 16 people in three double bedrooms and a low loft with mattresses on the floor.

The house has a small kitchen for self-catering. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle, dishwasher, crockery and cutlery and a separate fridge for drinks.

The Karhunpesä has a small wood-fired sauna and an outdoor jacuzzi. The sauna can seat about 6-7 people at a time. The outdoor terrace has table groups and a summer kitchen hut with a gas barbecue.

The Nuuksio Reindeer Park is located on the same plot and can be visited on request. In the atmospheric White Reindeer Lappish Tepee in the Reindeer Park, it is possible to enjoy lunch or dinner with wine, we have license to serve alcohol in the Tepee. Cute reindeer around the tepee create a touch of northern magic.

We also organise activity programmes for groups on request, throughout the year, under the guidance of professional guides. We have been operating responsibly in Nuuksio since 1994. Warmly welcome!
