We will start our hike at the best view point in Nuuksio. It rises high above the fjord-like Lake Nuuksion Pitkäjärvi. From the rocky areas and “petrified trees” we will end up in the shadows of the pine forests where we will walk between rock formation that have been here since the last ice-age.
You will learn about the nature, see lakes with pure waters and hear stories about Nuuksio. This area is not so much visited and it does not have marked trails, but we will walk on paths all the way. If we are lucky we might see a raven leading the way or get a glimse of the many owls that inhabit this area. This is an easy hike and such a nice nature experience.
