Share

Wäinölä is a unique location in the middle of the forest, next to the Nuuksio National Park, less than 40 km from the center of Helsinki and the Helsinki airport. Wäinölä is the best place to learn about Finnish traditions, folklore and the Kalevala, the Finnish national epic.

Wäinölä can host up to 40 people at four big tables, for a group of 20 people the tables are combined into one large banquet table. Wäinölä is made by skilled craftsmen, logs are hand-carved and iron parts are made by the local blacksmith. A big fireplace brings atmosphere and warmth, Wäinölä is open around the year.

DELICIOUS WILD FOOD
We organize catering from breakfast to five-course dinner. We serve only local wild food, e.g. moose, whitefish and mushrooms.

ATMOSPHERIC CAMPFIRE
Wäinölä is located on a top of a hill with a lake view and by the campfire we can serve coffee and snack. The two campfire places can accommodate up to 100 people.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS
We organize programs about Kalevala and Finnish mythologies with folk musicians. We arrange versatile activities to the surrounding nature, e.g. walking and canoeing tours.

COSY ACCOMODATION with SAUNA
Next to Wäinölä is our lakeside cottage Villa Paratiisi, which accommodates 14 people. Our traditional sauna is wood-heated, there is hot tub and access for swimming in the lake, wintertime ice swimming.
